One correction, it wasn't a massive heart attack; it was total and sudden cardiac arrest.

During a (massive) heart attack, the heart still functions in a limited capacity. Cardiac Arrest is synonomous with clinical death. CPR can not start a heart in total cardiac arrest; all you can do is keep up the CPR in the hope that you are manually pumping a little blood to the brain while waiting for the ambulance to arrive with the defibrillator. Defibrillation can start a heart. In Nicole's case, it took several shocks before her heart started.

70% of cardiac arrests happen at home and are witnessed by a family member. roughly 99% of those do not survive,,, 99% of the 1% that do survive, live with some degree of brain damage. Nicole is one of the miracle 1% of 1% (that's 0.01%) that came out of this ok; on a lifetime of medication, but ok.

Everybody should learn CPR... it's only about 1 and a half hours training to enable you to save someone's whole life... usually, it will be for someone you love. When someone is in cardiac arrest, - every - single - second - counts!!! You cannot, must not, hesitate!!! You need to know what to do - and do it fast!!!

Brisbane City Council is offering FREE CPR courses this year at its libraries.

The 90 minute complete introduction to CPR session will be held by a fully qualified CPR Awareness Peer Trainer with practical participation on specially-designed mannequins.

The sessions will be free with a gold coin donation - as any amount over $2 is tax deductible.

‘CPR Awareness’ is a Local Ambulance Committee program. All CPR Awareness Program Peer trainers have been trained by qualified CPR trainers and are retrained annually to ensure their methods and techniques comply with international standards.

For more information about a session in your local area or to book your place call Council on 3403 8888.

The last paragraph is a very interesting idea. It might just be true, but I think more likely that people who hang out with each other, all rub each other up with the same spongy thoughts/emotions.

I find it more intriguing that women's cycles are sync'd with the lunar cycle. But it's not so suprising when you consider our Earthly cycle (sleep at night and work at day) and yearly cycle as we (historically) sow and reap our food crops according to the time of year. I wonder what part of the galaxy cycle we are in? Were the dinosours and ice ages infleuenced by the galaxy cycle? ... and what about the universe?... does it cycle too?

The delight I take in being proven ultimately right, is marred only by my dissatisfaction with your current lifestyle.

Also, feeling empty = depression, ask espie, he could tell you lots about it, Anyway, please do the following three things for me:

a) Train.
b) Come to breakfast?
c) Get a job in game retail, where you can use your ridiculously obvious nurd cuteness to your advantage, so while the hordes of guys chase you, you'll be selling them games. (at least temporarily, you know, until you get a real job :P)

Anyway, chin up buddy.

Cheers
