No doubt everyone who reads my blog (if anyone!) noticed my ‘Rant’ from last night.  The reason I write this blog to help me clear my head and improve my writing skill, but some things I write shouldn’t be read by the public.  That means you, sorry.

I’ll give you the gist of it so the only things you’re missing out on are the specifics, the whinging and the CAPS, haha.  Basically, I stumbled across some information last night that may suggest some people I know may have done some things that are hurtful to me on two separate occassions.  Oh, how discreet was that??  Genius.

So yeah, I was pretty upset.  Luckily I had the support of some truly amazing people; Mike, Max, Alex, Rythn, Graeme, Chad, Luke, Blair, Keeley, Fen, Snags, Ben, Darkr and of course Gavin.  I have other friends I know I could have called on if I needed to as well; Emma, Don, Josh, Dani, Vinnie, Abe, Bolo, Alan, Tom and Michael (if I’ve forgotten anyone please tell me, you all know my memory is shocking!)

To my friends; It’s important for me to tell you that  I appreciate each and every one of you for the unique qualities that make you the irreplaceable people you are.  I love you guys with all my heart.  You make a difference in my life; the days I speak to you are brighter and happier than the days I don’t speak to you.  I miss you when you’re not there.  There are a lot of bad people in this world, but you guys are the perfect example of how there is still good left in the world.  You give me confidence in humanity.  I only hope I return the favour in the same way.

Today was my sister’s birthday so Mum, Dad, my nephew, my Mum’s cousin, Gavin and I went over there to have dinner with my sister, her husband and her daughter.  It was really good to see her again.  I haven’t been spending much time with her lately because we’ve both been sick and I’ve truly missed her.  She got a telescope for her birthday so I’m planning to go over there one night and try it out.  How exciting, we finally have a telescope in the family!  All my brothers and sisters and I have a fascination for astronomy.

Gavin went home early but ended up coming back because I was still upset over the whole finding-out-hurtful-things fiasco and he wanted to make me feel better.  I have never felt so unconditionally loved and supported.  His insight is always straight-forward, simple and effective.  He never fails to make me smile.

When we’re sitting together under the stars with his arms around me, my head on his chest where I can feel his heartbeat, I feel so safe, so complete, and so free.  That’s all I want in life; safety, completeness and freedom.  I don’t like sounding corny about things but I really can’t help it when I’m talking about him… this is honestly just the way I feel.  I’m still coming to terms with the fact I’m with someone who cares about me and wants me to be happy.   My love for him is definitely something that could last a lifetime.  I hope that’s the path we go down.

On Tuesday I got up at 7:30am.  Yes, that’s right, BEFORE 8:00am.  I caught up with my sister and babysat my beautiful niece from 8:30am until 12:00pm.  I then went on a bit of an adventure by myself, going here and there to pick up the bits and pieces I needed to teach my other niece, Tasman, piano.  Her lesson began at 3:30pm and went really well; she’s such a clever little girl!  I was so proud to watch her learn the things I remember learning.

Wednesday wasn’t exciting.  It took me about 3 hours to actually remember what I did, which turned out to be eating ice-cream and playing Left 4 Dead with Gavin, geek style.

Thursday I mostly did the housework.   In the evening I met Gavin and his friends at the shops.  It was so bizarre.   All of us saw our ex’s so we ended up sharing amusing stories about the past and plotting against them together.  It was hilarious and really made the whole experience a lot easier to deal with.  After shopping Gavin and I went back to his place to watch Watchmen.  I ended up falling asleep on his comfy, queen-sized bed so I just stayed the night.  Lucky he only lives a minute down the road.

It was really nice to wake up next to someone this morning.  I got up in a good mood and went down to Dad’s work for the day to clean my car and help him polish his FX Holden, which will be on display for a volunteers lunch tomorrow.  Gavin took me out for delicious fetuccini carbonara, so I got pizza for dinner tonight to nom on while we played games and watched the DaVinci Code.

Ahh Starcraft, romance, romance.

Gavin turned to me the other day and said, “You know, there’s just something about watching you slaughter aliens…” Oh how it made me laugh.

I’m motivated.  I’m going to get a job, buy my new computer case, buy new clothes, new shoes and get my hair cut.  I bought Killing Floor today.  I’m even sort of looking forward to going back to university and getting my degree over and done with.

I want to go to Paris!

What have I been doing?

I can’t remember! I need to start writing these things down.

Oh yes. Tuesday I spent the day cleaning, and in the evening I’m pretty sure I went to Gavin’s to watch The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded.  There had been a storm in the afternoon, for some reason storms put me in the mood for matrix style movies. I don’t know, I’m weird, okay? Haha.

Wednesday afternoon Gavin took me to meet some of his friends at a place in the city. We had a few drinks and played pool. I failed so badly, but it was fun.  It was an awesome place, I’m looking forward to going back there and hopefully doing better at pool, plus drinks were cheaper there than they are in other places.

Today I got up earlier and went over to my sisters’ place to spend some time with her and her daughter.  As I left she gave me a hug and a kiss which was a very pleasant surprise. My day certainly started out well, and only got better!

After visiting my sister, Monique and I went on incredibly-crazy-happy-fun-times adventures.  These adventures included getting a tyre changed and shopping! Oh, so much shopping.  Our shopping adventure isn’t even over yet.  Okay, so I was trying on this pair of black, slip-on shoes and they fit perfectly so I took them to the counter. The lady at the counter told me they had a 2 for $25 sale, so I grab a red pair in the same size. When I got home I realised that while the red pair say they’re the same size as the black ones, they’re actually a few sizes bigger. Moral of the story is always check the size of the shoe! Luckily I can exchange them, so I’ll do that sometime soon.  I also bought 2 dresses, one is a $109.95 cocktail dress marked down to $10; I kid you not! Bargain! Oh yes, I got a cute Hello Kitty bag too. Mew.

Tonight I was fortunate enough to receive pool lessons from Eevari and Alex while Gavin installed Starcraft Battle Chest for me as a surprise for when I got home.  Such a sweetie!  Next time I play pool in the city I’ll surprise them all with my new found skills, thanks to Alex.

I played some Left 4 Dead today, which kind of surprised my gaming friends because I told them I wouldn’t be playing it again.  I remembered all the reasons why I enjoy playing it though so I think I’ll get back into it.  Left 4 Dead 2 and Borderlands are in my Steam list ready to download; I’m so excited.  It’s only a few weeks until they’re released.

You know what words are good words? Hellishly and bodacious. Alex just said them to me and I thought to myself, “… Those are noteworthy words.”  Yep.  So I stole them.

Time for a shower. I got a 14 day free trial of World of Warcraft so I feel dirty.
